The mow.exe file is deployed by a cracked Version of the game *Men of War:Assault Squad - Game of the Year - PROPHET*. It sets a copy of itself in %sys%/users/%user%/AppData/Roaming/mow and changes at least min. 5 Registry Keys to restart itself. Could be determined by slowing down our Sample PC (Core2 E6600) by using 45-50% Resources and CPU Power. Damage is by now not examined, but in the AppData/mow Directory are files like a BIOS .bin from the installed Graphics Card. Maybe its a Copy or a cheated Version that the mow.exe intalls. Also there is a strange behavior when killing mow.exe in Taskmanager the Displaydriver restarts, so it inflicts the Graphics card. More research is necessary. |
