dwm.exe

How to get the second word on each line with regex?

I have the following output (string variable) with process lists:

chrome.exe 1680 RDP-Tcp#0 1 104,552 K
chrome.exe 8944 RDP-Tcp#0 1 133,680 K
csrss.exe 8880 Console 19 3,796 K
winlogon.exe 6728 Console 19 4,484 K
LogonUI.exe 9024 Console 19 19,552 K
dwm.exe 11476 Console 19 19,916 K
rdpclip.exe 8152 RDP-Tcp#0 1 8,240 K

How can I extract all PIDs using regex (PHP)?

Thanks.

dwm.exe: F12 not working in Delphi debugger on Windows 7/8

Pressing F12 while the program is running in the debugger should break the execution and open the debugger. This works correctly on Windows XP (tested with D2007 and XE2) but fails on Windows 7 and 8 (also tested with D2007 and XE2; tested on three computers).

Registry is set up properly (Windows 7):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionAeDebug]
'UserDebuggerHotKey'=dword:00000000
'Debugger'=''C:Windowssystem32vsjitdebugger.exe' -p %ld -e %ld'

Just curious, say, if I enumerate all processes running in a user's session, is there any way to tell which are Windows system processes (such as explorer.exe, taskhost.exe, dwm.exe, etc.) and which are processes started by a user?

dwm.exe: Lost Windows 7 transparency DWM not working properly

After installing new theme from Microsoft (http://windows.microsoft.com/hr-HR/windows/downloads/snowflakes-and-frost-theme) my Windows 7 lost all its transparency (Aero) effects and placed Windows Basic as the actual theme.
I've been googling for my problem for an hour now and I have not found any solutions.
All my attempts to fix this issue have failed.

I've tried running the standard wizard for for fixing transparency problems and I got a response:

dwm.exe: Completely locking down Windows 7 using Python 3.2?

This might be a more difficult question since I don't even know how to do it outside of Python...

I want to write a terminal program that completely locks up my PC until a password is entered. In the locked state no one should be able to do anything outside the terminal. In it, the user may rampage and write silly commands, but he should not be able to switch windows, click outside of it, open the task manager, open the menu with Ctrl + Alt Gr + Del and so on.

dwm.exe: BitmapCache causes WPF application to lock up

Here's the scenario:

1: Our WPF application starts

2: The WPF application loads various user controls, including some that use the new BitmapCache feature in WPF 4

3: Hit ctrl-alt-delete or win+l or load another application which requires UAC

4: Cancel that stuff

The WPF application is now unresponsive, however it's WPF itself which is the problem. All the application logic on all the background threads is fine, and you can interact with it by pressing alt+f4,

dwm.exe: Problem with explorer.exe and dwm.exe in Windows 7 [closed]

I'm using Window 7 Ultimate. I get a problem with two processes, namely explorer.exe and sometimes dwm.exe.

The two processes tend to use cpu between 20-30%.

And it only occurs when i play some game on my PC. My PC works perfect until I play some game.

And another important observation:
They consume no cpu as such but only consumes when I try to refresh my desktop. I mean when I right-click on desktop. It takes seconds for refresh.

I have no virus problems.

dwm.exe: Dwm.exe memory leak when resizing simple WinForm application

I created very simple Winform application in VS2010 (just a standard template File->New->Project->C# Windows Forms Application).

After several form resizes the system memory consumption can increase by 1Gb or more! And this memory is not returned to the system after application closing. Selecting Classic theme or killing dwm.exe helps to get memory back.

Here is the simple video I recorded to show the problem: http://youtu.be/ZJMCayflrHI

dwm.exe: Delphi 7 - Screenshot without capturing form - Windows 8 - DWM.exe

Friends,

Need to screenshot of the all desktop WITHOUT MY FORM and load in TImage.
Success in Windows XP, 7 - with just ALPHABLEND = TRUE + SCREENSHOT PROCEDURE.

But same code does not work in Windows 8 - capture all screen INCLUDING THE FORM.

I know the problem is related to AERO - DWM.EXE - success using pssuspend.exe (sysinternals) - suspending winlogon.exe and killing dwm.exe

Someone could tell me how to capture all desktop without my form also in Windows 8?

dwm.exe: VB6 Drag and Drop Performance in Windows 8

I have a rather large VB6 application that features dragging and dropping controls between sub forms in an MDI application. The problem is the performance is really bad during the drag operation. You can see the element redrawing (slowly) as you drag it.

I first encountered this issue in Windows 7 and after some research concluded that it was a compatibility issue with the Aero interface. I was able to work around it by switching off the Aero effects. Now I am using Windows 8 the problem

dwm.exe: Performance issue when resizing Win32 containing WPF

I am in the process of migrating an existing legacy project. For now we want to use C++/CLI as a bridge between business logic (native C++) and interface (WPF). I followed this MSDN article on how to host WPF content in a Win32 window as a starting point. However, I cannot wrap my head around this problem: Whenever I resize the host window...

The workflow of the web service implies that during specific processing items are added and then

-system process-: How to measure actual memory usage of an application or process?

How do you measure the memory usage of an application or process in Linux?

From the blog article of Understanding memory usage on Linux, 'ps' is not an accurate tool to use for this intent.

Why ps is 'wrong'

Depending on how you look at it, ps is not reporting the real memory usage of processes. What it is really doing is showing how much real memory each process would take up if it were the only process running. Of course, a typical Linux machine has several dozen

spoolsv.exe: How to check if service spoolsv.exe is responding to requests without printing?

My friend's server has some problem with spoolsv service. While he is searching for a problem source, we need to make periodic service checks and restart service if it stops responding. I suppose the source of a problem is faulty printer drivers, but that needs investigation.

The question is how to check if this service is ok without attempting to print something. How can we 'ping' it?

wmiprvse.exe: Why is a WPF TextBox sending wmiprvse.exe out of control?

I have been working on an application, and was trying to figure out why my CPU usage was hitting 80-100%.

I narrowed it down to the TextBox controls in my WPF page. It turns out that if I put focus on them it would start hammering the wmiprvse.exe process. This sent my overall CPU usage up to 100%.

I then created a test WPF application to see whether it may have been underlying code, or whether it is just the TextBox that is the culprit. Turns out, IT IS!

tcm.exe: MTM : Is there a way to find test run completion status using command line utility tcm.exe

I use MTM (Microsoft test manager) for running my automated test cases.

I schedule test runs using tcm /create command (trigerred from a powershell script) and once the test run is completed I need to copy the trx (result) file on my local machine. So I want to wait till the test run is completed in some sort of polling mechanism.

Hence, I need a command to fetch the current test run status using test runid. Is there a way to get MTM test run status in this way?
