WiX: Change MsiExec.exe error message (not Windows Installer error messages)

Is there a way to change error messages given by MsiExec in WiX?
My goal is to customize the message that appears when users try to install a patch without having the target product installed.

I have tried adding

<Error Id='1642'>You must install my product before installing this patch.</Error>

to the UI section but it doesn't seem to work.

I suspect there is a big difference between Windows Installer errors and MsiExec errors.

Has anyone ever done this?

It dawned on me that this error is due to some exception in custom action. And hence I executed the following command

w3wp.exe: web.config locked by w3wp.exe

I've got a weird problem. It looks like if my IIS6 locked an application's web.config. If I try to edit it, Windows complains that the web.config is used by another process.

Using Process Explorer I can see that the file is owned by w3wp.exe. Removing the virtual directory and stopping the website wasn't useful at all.

Any idea (I cannot stop the whole server since a lot of sites are hosted in it)?

dwm.exe: Problem with explorer.exe and dwm.exe in Windows 7 [closed]

I'm using Window 7 Ultimate. I get a problem with two processes, namely explorer.exe and sometimes dwm.exe.

The two processes tend to use cpu between 20-30%.

And it only occurs when i play some game on my PC. My PC works perfect until I play some game.

And another important observation:
They consume no cpu as such but only consumes when I try to refresh my desktop. I mean when I right-click on desktop. It takes seconds for refresh.

I have no virus problems.
