Issue Launching Application's: Last 2 Line's of Script

So the problem is that i'm having an trouble getting the last 2 line's of my script to run through to the bottom successfully, i'm 95% confused on why it's bugging out right at the bottom.

Ideally i'd like both the app's to launch independently of one another. I can get subprocess.call to launch both the apps if i take all the launching portions/line's of the script out and put them in a new script and launch it while it's in the same directory as the file's that it's trying to launch.(Ideally i'd like to get it to run from anywhere on the pc)

Btw, when i run it with command promt to test it the read out come's out empty(so i feel like it's working in some weird sense)

import os
import shutil
import subprocess

data_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsData')
menu_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup')
dest_dir = os.path.join(data_dir, r'Data')
if not os.path.exists(data_dir):
os.mkdir(data_dir)

if os.path.exists(dest_dir):
shutil.rmtree(dest_dir)

shutil.copytree(r'Data', dest_dir)
shutil.copy(r'System32.lnk', menu_dir)
subprocess.call(['explorer.exe', data_dir])
subprocess.call(['PnkBstrA.exe'], cwd=data_dir)

Any help would be incredibly useful right now

Thank's

Edit: Btw when i take just the launching commands and put them in a new script (Ill post below) it only launchs one app at a time(the second app is launched when the initial one is closed/exit'd.

import os
import shutil
import subprocess

data_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsData')
menu_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup')

subprocess.call(['explorer.exe', data_dir])
subprocess.call(['PnkBstrA.exe'], cwd=data_dir)

Print Test:

import os
import shutil
import subprocess

data_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsData')
menu_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup')
dest_dir = os.path.join(data_dir, r'Data')
if not os.path.exists(data_dir):
os.mkdir(data_dir)

if os.path.exists(dest_dir):
shutil.rmtree(dest_dir)

shutil.copytree(r'Data', dest_dir)
shutil.copy(r'System32.lnk', menu_dir)
print subprocess.call(['explorer.exe', data_dir])
subprocess.call(['PnkBstrA.exe'], cwd=data_dir)

Popen Test:

import os
import shutil
import subprocess

data_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsData')
menu_dir = os.path.expandvars(r'C:Users\%USERNAME%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsStartup')

subprocess.Popen(['explorer.exe', data_dir])
subprocess.call(['PnkBstrA.exe'], cwd=data_dir)

This will launch both the apps if i place it in the same folder as the app its launching. (which isan't ideal but it's a start! )

cli.exe: Calling Exe from another application

I have a complete command line application in c# which has different modules and depends on multiple dlls etc.

Now, i want to call that CLI app with an another UI app. But the issue is that the Thread part of the CLI applicaiton is not working and the control just jumps to the end. So, is there any way I can handle this scenario?

For example: I have app CLI.exe which i want to call so i have written following code:

Process proc = new Process();

wmiprvse.exe: SQL Server 2008 R2 - Can't open a connection

There are 2 issues I'm having, one in the SQL Server Management Studio and one in the SQL Server Configuration Manager.

SQL Server Configuration Manager has an error in the SQL Server Services part:

net.exe: Set the timeout with Windows net.exe

I have a batch file that shuts down several services and another one that starts those services back up. We recently upgraded the software for one of those services and it's taking longer for that service to start up. If I start it through the Computer Management Console it starts fine. When I do net start 'My Service' is there a way to set the timeout or something I can do to make it wait longer in my batch file? This is a Win2K8 server.

TIA

explorer.exe: Restart explorer.exe and restore windows

I wrote a simple batch script that kills explorer.exe and then start it again. Its a common operation that I need for the Windows client software I'm developing.

The negative side effect is that any opened explorer window is closed and I need to manually open it up.

I want to add some pre and post operation to my script that will restore the opened Windows.

Best case would be if we could keep the commands in the form of a batch script, though I suppose it would be much simpl
