wmplayer.exe

Playback Complete In Windows Media Player

I launched a subprocess to using its call method to play a video on Window Media Player.

eg.
subprocess.call(''C:/Program Files (x86)/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe' 'C:/Users/Public/Videos/Sample Videos/Wildlife.wmv'')

Now, how can I check if the playback is completed in the player for that particular video.

Is there is any direct Api available for the Windows Media Player
Or
there is a way to listen to the subprocess command launched using Popen

eg.

p = subprocess.Popen(''C:/Program Files (x86)/Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe' 'C:/Users/Public/Videos/Sample Videos/Wildlife.wmv'')
# while the placback is happening
p.wait()
# otherwise
p.kill()

wmplayer.exe: Current playing item in Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe ver. 12)

Been trying this for a while now.
All solutions I've seen on the net don't seem to work, specially the really simple way to do it.

WMPLib.WindowsMediaPlayer c = new WMPLib.WindowsMediaPlayer();
IWMPMedia i = (IWMPMedia)c.currentMedia;

c.currentMedia is always null.

It seems that new WMPLib.WindowsMediaPlayer(); is always creating a new instance of the Windows Media Player.
First I thought it was the fact that I was running visual studio as Administrator, but

I'm trying to run the following lines:

But the file(.mp4) doesn't open, maybe because I give the two pathes in one parameter.
I tried also to run the following:

(*) L''C:\...\wmplayer.exe' 'C:\...\.mp4''

And:

(*) L'C:\...\wmpl

wmplayer.exe: Play() function not working in R [duplicate]

By using R packages like tuneR and seewave I generated sounds that I want to play with some software that is not Windows Media Player but I don`t know how to set this up. This command

is the only thing that works (and its WMP). When I try something like this

setWavPlayer('C:/Program Files/foobar2000/foobar2000.exe')

the synth or play command just gives this error when I try to playback my sound

wmplayer.exe: Executing a command when closing Batch file

I have a batch file playing a sound in the background while it runs, using the method at Batch file executing a sound silently however, when I exit the batch file, the music will continue to play.

Id there any way to run a command while a batch file is closing, so that the sound file will stop playing?

I've tried an example I found called onexit:

onexit taskkill /im wmplayer.exe

But it doesn't work.

svchost.exe: .Net Application extrem slow. After killing svchost.exe it runs again fast. Any idea?

I've a C# .Net 3.5 Application (x86) running on Windows7 x64.

For any reason after a few days or weeks the App runs extremly slow.

All other Apps runs normal (also another C# .Net 3.5 Application (x86)).

After killing a few svchost.exe the Application runs normal again. Rebooting without killing svchost.exe also doesn't help. Probably Windows saves the state of svchost.exe. If I logoff the user and login again it also works again, without killing the svchost. On logoff the s

lsass.exe: How to get debugging information when custom SSP crashes on customer machine at boot?

We've written a custom Security Support Provider package. It works fine in our development environment, but a customer reports that most of the time, it gets into a reboot loop, where they install, the machine reboots and continues rebooting. On some machines things work about 1/8 of the time.

In our development environment, I'd enable kernel debugging before the install, and use gflags to attach ntsd as a debugger to lsass.exe. This article gives a sample. I'd even be happy to walk t

We've all been there. You have written some code and unit tests, the tests all pass, and the code is decent (nothing's perfect, right?). Then, someone who is sure that they know better than you comes along and decides to change your code or the interfaces to your code just because he/she does not like the variable/id names that you used. No 'real' refactorings, no real optimizations, no real improvement -- just different words -- not necessarily better words, just different.

conhost.exe: Get PID of conhost.exe associated to my console process

I would like to know how I can get the PID of the conhost.exe processed associated to my console process, retrieving this information from my program itself.

My program basically is a 32-bit program running on a 64-bit OS. All of this is written in C/C++. Since probably the conhost.exe process is 64 bit, this might be a little bit more challenging because of that. That said, the only information worth to my eyes is the conhost.exe PID, I don't need anything else.

I'm not too sure h

winamp.exe: how to debug a dll winamp plugin in Visual Studio 2010 written in C++?

I'm developing a Winamp plugin. I have a project that builds a .dll file. This file is actually the plugin. I want to debug that plugin.

The question is how to prepare for the debugging? How to tell winamp.exe
