I am running JBoss as a windows service using Tanuki software. When running as a windows service, the path changes to a directory where wrapper.exe is present. The relative path used in the code is relative to that directory and not JBoss home. How can I fix this problem without having to provide absolute paths in the code?

So I have the command line:

wrapper.debug=TRUE

But the extra jar is not in the idpath passed to my application.

wrapper.exe: How to specifiy the start directory for the CruiseControl service wrapper under windows

CruiseControl has a nice service wrapper for windows to start CruiseControl automatically on booting up the computer. This could be very helpful if only the wrapper would not start CruiseControl in the installation directory.

Honestly: which self respecting build manager would mix build work and configuration files and application file of the build tool in one directory structure?

None of course. So is there a way to specify the directory in which wrapper.exe start the CruiseContr

A specific use case is: The Tanuki Service Wrapper (wrapper.exe) supports launching a Java Virtual Machine process (java.exe) configured by a text file (.conf file) that contains lines like

I am running win7 professional 64-bit. I have already installed java, and am trying to install ActiveMQ. skype.exe: Find a executable file path programmatically and fast

I want to find a .exe files path programatically in Java, for example:

Skype.exe is entered into a program to find the direct path to it

A method I have tried is sorting through the systems files until 'skype.exe' is found, but that takes up a lot of time and resources.

consent.exe: “Send to” a folder over to a batch script not behaving as expected

I have a simple batch script take.cmd

I've then created a shortcut to it in the C:UsersabcAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsSendTo folder. Specifically the shortcut and not the batch script itself so that I can run it as admin (right click > properties > advanced > Run as administrator).

Now when I right click a folder and Send To it to the shortcut I've created it prompts the consent.exe asking for permission as expected but then instead of running the batch script

sidebar.exe: Executing commands from C# problem

I've made a little C# tool for monitoring sidebar.exe (as some know there's a strange memory leak in it, so this monitor restarts the sidebar.exe process when it reaches a limit...).

Before this I had a .bat file doing it and I was running it manually, and it worked fine. Now, I'm executing the cmd commands from C#, but the behavior is different: only 4 of the 7 gadgets appear again after 'start sidebar.exe'. It always happens with the program, and never when run manually.
