Run iexplore.exe invisibly

I am trying to run iexplore.exe invisibly. This works but it shows the internet explorer window.

Than I tried it with /d

I need to run myApp.exe that in turn will launch iexplore.exe.
What is the most robust, generic way (OS bit version agnostic) to do so?

Can you point me to the right registry key /env var/other mean to do so?

iexplore.exe: Strange ProcessorAffinity issue with IEXPLORE.exe

I need to launch IE and set the affinity to a particular single CPU.
When running the following c# code, as expected notepad.exe is started and has it's affinity set to just cpu2, strangely iexplore.exe is started with its affinity set to just cpu0. No matter what I set ProcessorAffinity to iexplore.exe always goes to cpu0.

I have tested this on 4 core xp 32 bit and 4 core 2008 64 bit, both IE8.

iexplore.exe: iexplore.exe process opens but I can't see it

I have a strange issue with opening IE (8), on Server 2008 R2, I execute the process (try to open a web-site in a browser) and I can see it in the Task Manager, but it's not visible on the Taskbar or anywhere on the desktop.
It is especially annoying since I use this server for developing a website.

It is the same if I open several IE processes, they are running (as seen in the taskbar) but are not visible.

After Restart of the server is usually works for a while till it starts

iexplore.exe: Batch file to terminate all instances of IExplore.exe

Sometimes IE freezes up and I have to open the Task Manager, right click the process and choose End Process to get it to really close.

If I have a lot open, I have to find the right one to end. I want a batch file command I can run to just terminate them all.

I tried using taskkill as described here, but that does not terminate a frozen IE like the 'End Process' button does.

iexplore.exe: Debugging SHDocVw.InternetExplorer.Quit not closing iexplore.exe process

I think there's no definite answer so how would you approach debugging this problem?:

My main app (a MicroStation plugin) launces IE using the SHDocVw.InternetExplorer COM wrapper, interacts with it, hides it when it is not used (e.g. intercepts when the user closes the window and sets InternetExplorer.Visible to false).

When the main app is closed the plugin closes IE by calling InternetExplorer.Quit but the iexplore process is left running (the IE is hidden at the moment the ma

iexplore.exe: Process.Start(“IExplore.exe”); <— Is this reliable?

Process.Start('IExplore.exe');

Does this always work, on every machine ? If not, how to do it properly ?

... EDIT: .................................

The problem with Process.Start('http://www.example.com/'); is that we have to target a local html file, with some querystring specifying which page to load in the html frameset.
So our URL looks like the following:

G:PathToHelpFolderindex.html#search?page=1.html

If you pass this path to Process.Start, an er

iexplore.exe: VS2010 and IE10 Attaching the Script debugger to process iexplore.exe failed

My goal is to capture keystrokes of the user when he is interacting with Internet Explorer (iexplore.exe).

iexplore.exe: Process.Start(“IEXPLORE.EXE”) immediately fires the Exited event after launch.. why?

i have a strange problem with IE8 installed in xp. i was trying to launch IE using an System.Diagnostics.Process.Start method in c#. And i have a requirement to trap the exited event of the IE and do some operation. But i ended up in a rather strange problem where the IE immediately fires the exited event after launch.

this is the sample code

Process objProcess = Process.Start('IEXPLORE.EXE', 'http://google.com');

if (objProcess != null)

iexplore.exe: invoke iexplore.exe in already launched instance using ShellExecuteEx

I used ShellExecuteEx to call iexplore.exe, Whenever I start the application a new instance of internet explorer is created irrespective of, internet explorer already opened or not.

I want to change this, if already an instance of the Internet explorer is there, I need to open a new tab in that instance with the address I am passing to the ShExecInfo.lpParameters, thus without creating a new window. Is there a way to do this? Please advice..

iexplore.exe: Can I pass the -f parameter to iexplore.exe when using Watir?

I need to run several instances of a Ruby script that's using the Watir gem, and they all need to be able to run in IE fullscreen mode.

CLARIFICATION: They need to be able to open IE in a mode that allows multiple instances of IE to operate in full screen mode, not necessarily trigger the fullscreen. Opening up IE normally allows only a single instance to open fullscreen (not maximized).

I can make this happen manually, by specifying the '-f' parameter on iexplore.exe. Is there

explorer.exe: Can't run explorer.exe properly [closed]

I play some older games that require ending the process explorer.exe. This is fine, except I want a way to start explorer.exe back up when I am done playing. I thought to use this:

^#e::
Run, explorer.exe
Return

The weird thing is that when I run this, it opens one window in the 'Libraries'. However, when I open the task manager and Start new process --> explorer.exe, then everything comes back (desktop, taskbar, all of it).

SQL Server Configuration Manager has an error in the SQL Server Services part:
