How to open task scheduler ?

The path to task scheduler is

C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsAccessoriesSystem Tools

I tried to open it

public static void main(String[] args) {

Runtime.getRuntime().exec('cmd /c start '+'%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Task Scheduler.exe');

However, the above does not compile . How can I improve my code ?

scheduler.exe: Posting weblinks in non English languages, unicode and Command Prompt

I am using the python-twitter module to promote a site I run. I have the code working fine using English tweets, however I now want to expand to posting in other languages. I declare a tweet using the following standard bit of code:

status = api.PostUpdate('Eine Überprüfung der Synapse Antidote Brückenerweiterung in Aktion: http://ow.ly/vpmmn #propellerhead #synapse')

I understand (I think) that prefixing a variable with a lower case u will enable unicode text, i.e:

svchost.exe: Solving 100% cpu hang of svchost.exe hosting WCF service on IIS 6.0?

We're having a strange cpu issue with WCF services hosted on IIS 6.0 on Windows Server 2003 SP2 x64. On some of our environments, seemingly when an app pool starts up, the svchost.exe running iissvcs will spin up to 100% cpu and stay there indefinitely (3+ days observed).

Investigation tidbits:

It doesn't seem to be any specific app pool (we're hosting 5+ WCF
services in each their own app pool) nor happen every time.
The w3wp.exe process is started up, but using almost

alg.exe: can a windows service be spawned from something other than services.exe?

in the _EPROCESS structure, the Inherited From Unique Process field for services like alg.exe,svchost.exe,spoolsv.exe always points to services.exe. So, here are my questions.1) Can a service be spawned from non-services.exe process2) Can services.exe spawn a non service process?

dw20.exe: way to “reverse” dw20.exe hashes?

Our application has been throwing unhandled exceptions. DW20.exe logs these like this test case:

EventType clr20r3, P1 clr20r3.exe, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 4af175d6, P4 clr20r3, P5 1.0.0.0, P6 4af175d6, P7 1, P8 a, P9 system.applicationexception, P10 NIL.

P9 is the name of the exception. If the exception name is over 32 characters long, DW20.exe hashes the name (and presumably encodes the hash). For instance, the exception 'LongExceptionWithNameThatIsOver32' is logged as:

csrss.exe: Hunting down application errors coming from csrss.exe

I'm the maintainer of a legacy Delphi application. On machines running this program an Application Error appears sometimes with the caption referring to this Delphi app and a message like the following:

The instruction at '...' referenced memory at '...'. The memory could not be 'read'.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Task Manager says the process belonging to this message box is csrss.exe. What would be a systematic way to find the root cause of this e

msiexec.exe: How to analyze the logfile in “msiexec.exe /i your.msi /L*v c:logfile.txt” inorder to fix e…

I have an application with version no: 1.0.1, which is an upgrade to the older version 1.0.0.

When I try to install the new version 1.0.1, when my system already has the older version 1.0.0 installed, I am getting the error 2869.

But if I uninstall the older version manually & than try to install the newer version, then it installs successfuly.
It dawned on me that this error is due to some exception in custom action. And hence I executed the following command

splwow64.exe: Faulting application splwow64.exe

I am running windows 7 64 pro. When I start VMWare player, with windows XP service pack 3 installed, I get the error message 'this application has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way' Microsoft visual c++. I have dug into the event log and it is telling me that splwow64.exe is the faulting application. I was concerned at first but now that I know that it is a 32 bit print spooler it does not seem like such a big deal but it is annoying. Any thoughts on how to correct the problem?

winword.exe: how to kill orphaned winword.exe in matlab

Running matlab R2010B on Windows 7 Enterprise

In matlab scripts, I save a bunch of results to a word file and then at the end, close and quit word. The code I use is:

WordFile = fullfile(pwd,WordFname);
WordApp = actxserver('Word.Application');
WordDoc = WordApp.Documents.Add;
WordDoc.SaveAs2(WordFile);

realsched.exe: How to filter .exe files from text file

This is an example line from the file:

O4 - HKLM..Run: [TkBellExe] C:Program FilesCommon
FilesRealUpdate_OB ealsched.exe (RealNetworks, Inc.)

I just need realsched.exe

egrep '^O4' file.txt | egrep '[[:alnum:]]{0,99}.exe'

Vague, but the closest thing that works. (Ignore the first grep, using that to find 4 lines)
But when the exe file has characters such as _ then it doesn't work.

ntvdm.exe: Create a 16bit application?

I want to create a 16 bit Dos application and want it to run using the NTVDM.exe on my 32bit windows 7 machine. How do I do it?
I basically want my application to do the file operations through the NTVDM and for that I think I'll need a 16 bit application first, Is there any other way?

I don't need an Emulator, I need to create an 16-bit app
