tcm.exe: tcm.exe returns message “No tests found to import”

I'm trying to import specflow and my unit test cases to Mictosoft Test Manager using tcm.exe from the commandline. There are around 300 tests in the dll and I could see them in the test explorer when I build the project. But unfortunately when trying to upload to MTM using tcm command it returs 'No tests found to import'

Command used :
C:>tcm testcase /import /collection:URL /teamproject:Default /storage:FunctionalTesting.T
ests.dll /syncsuite:555/category:Automated Functional /log

tcm.exe: MTM : Is there a way to find test run completion status using command line utility tcm.exe

I use MTM (Microsoft test manager) for running my automated test cases.

I schedule test runs using tcm /create command (trigerred from a powershell script) and once the test run is completed I need to copy the trx (result) file on my local machine. So I want to wait till the test run is completed in some sort of polling mechanism.

Hence, I need a command to fetch the current test run status using test runid. Is there a way to get MTM test run status in this way?

tcm.exe: Getting the test run ID after launching a test via tcm

I have a PowerShell script to kick off an automated test run using command-line interface (tcm.exe) for Microsoft Test Manager.

I also then have a cleanup Powershell script associated with the test run (in the .testsettings file), which exports the test result (tcm.exe run /export), but my problem is that I need the test run ID. It is output from the 'tcm.exe run /create' command, but it's of no use because first of all, it outputs as 'Run created with ID: 501', and second of all because

opera.exe: How does Task Manager gets command line executable path for processes?

I'm looking at Task Manager's list of processes, and enabled View > Select columns > Command line to see include exe path & command line arguments.

I tried to get the same thing working using GetModuleFileNameEx but there's some problems; first, the result doesn't include any arguments and it also fails for some processes, as basic as WinRar.exe or Opera.exe.

I know that Task Manager uses WMI to get some of this data (I tried shutting down the service and it failed just the way

start1.exe: Utility started from python code doesn't write in file

I have two utilities written in C++, TCP/IP server and client that I have used for years.
Server opens designated file and waits for client to connect. After connection has been established the server starts to send file's content. The client receives it and saves in a file.
Now, I want to write a python script to start both application and wait for them to finish. After that script will do some other work. It is written for Windows.
It is my first script in python. And my first problem

services.exe: In windows programming, is there any way we can find out which module (Thread ID & DLL) is c…

I have made a sample application which will display all the process details which is running currently in my window smartphone device. such as NK.exe, filesys.exe etc.

I want to know how we can find out which module (Thread ID & DLL) is consuming CPU time? Most of the driver threads runs under device.exe / NK.exe and I am pretty sure that bulk of the CPU utilization will come from device.exe / NK.exe and Services.exe.

I want to know what are the threads running under device.exe

winword.exe: WinWord.exe won't quit after calling Word.Documents.Add - Word .NET Interop

I'm running into the idic scenario where, when creating Word COM objects in .NET (via the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word assembly), the WinWord process won't exit even though I'm properly closing and releasing the objects.

I've narrowed it down to the use of the Word.Documents.Add() method. I can work with Word in other ways without a problem (opening documents, modifying contents, etc) and WinWord.exe quits when I tell it to. It's once I use the Add() method (and only when adding a temp

sidebar.exe: Windows 7 Gadgets - Windows 7 Logo Program Certification

One of the requirements for the 'Windows 7 Logo Program' is that the application must be a standalone application. Does a Windows 7 gadget qualify as a standalone application?

To my knowledge, a gadget runs under the Sidebar.exe process (also in Windows 7). Though the Sidebar is not visible in Windows 7 it runs in the background when a gadget is run.
