How to get debugging information when custom SSP crashes on customer machine at boot?

We've written a custom Security Support Provider package. It works fine in our development environment, but a customer reports that most of the time, it gets into a reboot loop, where they install, the machine reboots and continues rebooting. On some machines things work about 1/8 of the time.

In our development environment, I'd enable kernel debugging before the install, and use gflags to attach ntsd as a debugger to lsass.exe. This article gives a sample. I'd even be happy to walk the customer through that, except their machine is already crashing.

Is there anything we can do now to recover crash data from the customer machine? We'd really need something that could give us a stack trace of lsass.exe. Perhaps a way to get a crash dump of lsass.exe and get it off the machine in startup recovery? Or a way to get gflags like behavior on the machine's main registry hive from startup recovery?

Thoughts welcome.
